CatalogSetu

Privacy policy

Last updated 5 November 2026

This explains what CatalogSetu (“we”) collects when you use the CatalogSetu website, the Studio, the phone app and the dealer back office, why, and what you can ask us to do. It is written to be read, not to hide things.

Visiting the website and trying the Studio

  • The website does not use tracking cookies or analytics, and you do not need an account to look around or use the Studio.
  • Room photos you upload in the Studio stay in your browser or on your phone. They are not sent to our servers.
  • Your mood board, designer details, presentations, branding defaults and the last catalogue you opened are saved on your own device only (in the browser’s storage). Clearing your browser data removes them.
  • A shared room link contains the room, tile and settings chosen by the sender, inside the link itself. We do not store it, and it never contains a photo you uploaded.
  • The room photos on this site are stored on our own hosting, so loading them does not contact other companies.

Contacting us

The contact form does not send anything to us by itself. When you press send, your message opens in WhatsApp or your email app and you choose whether to send it. When you press “I’m interested” on a design, WhatsApp opens with a message to the brand or dealer, and what happens next is covered by WhatsApp’s own policy.

If you do contact us, we use your details only to reply and to talk about CatalogSetu.

Dealer and brand accounts (the back office)

When a brand or dealer signs up, we keep:

  • the sign-in email address and the sign-in details handled by our sign-in service (we do not see or store your password in readable form);
  • the business details you enter: business name, logo, city, phone, WhatsApp and email;
  • the catalogue you build: designs, prices, photos, collections, PDF versions and the counts of views, downloads and shares of released catalogues.

This is stored in a cloud service run by our provider (Supabase), with access rules that let each dealer reach only their own data. When you switch your catalogue on and it is approved, the catalogue details you chose to publish (name, logo, designs, prices, photos, WhatsApp number) become visible to anyone who has your link or QR code. Do not put anything private in a published catalogue or its photos.

The released-catalogue counts are totals only. They do not record who looked or downloaded.

Sending a list to a dealer

If you build a list of designs in a dealer’s catalogue and tap Send, your name, phone number, optional note and the list are stored for that dealer so they can call you. You do not need an account. The list stays on your device until you send it. The dealer keeps the request until they delete it. We do not use it for advertising.

The phone app

The app uses the camera only when you choose to scan a QR code or take a room photo, and your photo library only when you pick a photo. Scans and photos are processed on your phone and are not sent to us. When you save or share an image, the phone’s own share sheet is used.

Who else handles data

  • Our website hosting provider, which serves the pages and can see technical request details such as your IP address, as any host does.
  • Our cloud database and file storage provider (Supabase) for back-office accounts and published catalogues.
  • WhatsApp and your email provider, when you choose to send a message.

We do not sell your information and we do not share it with advertisers.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep account and catalogue data while the account is open. A dealer can delete designs and photos in the back office. To close an account and have its data deleted, contact us and we will do it. Copies in routine backups are removed as the backups expire.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you. We handle personal information as Indian law requires.

Contact us with the details on the contact page.

Children

CatalogSetu is for businesses and the people who work with them. It is not directed at children.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, for example before we add paid plans, new data collection or sign-ins for buyers, we will update this page and the date above.
